Finding Your Story
Have you ever wanted to share a story, and wondered if there was a right way to do it?
And here we are. Where I work. Criss-cross applesauce.
My bathrobe is from The Happy Cabbage, an Etsy shop I found when I was searching for a new robe last year. I wanted something quite charming, and man, did she deliver. This robe crossed the Atlantic twice before finally landing on my doorstep, so five stars to that sweet shop owner. Now my bathrobe has not only charm, but a story of adventure.
Yesterday, I had two very interesting conversations. The first one was with a friend I've talked to every week for an hour for the length of four? five? years. It's our own little mastermind--we talk about life, business, marketing, tech--whatever is going on in our worlds that drives the conversation that day. It's truly one of the most life-giving activities I do every week. And she had some interesting suggestions about how I should use this Substack space. "Tell your story," she said. She said it with a quiet confidence, without a trace hesitation. "You should."
