There are times when life is perfect. The veil is thin, and heaven is among us. Life is carefree, simple, sweet, and rich. It’s these seasons that we reference as the good life.
And in those times, you start to realize how small and connected the world can really be.
It’s not safe to want to go back to those seasons. Recalling the past serves only as a good foundation for understanding the future. But I think it’s a good practice to appreciate those moments, to note them as mile markers of possibility and opportunity and, yes, magic.
And for me, such a season was the summer of 2000.
