As a child, I harbored a profound distaste for cleaning my room. Truth be told, even as an adult, my enthusiasm for the task hasn't improved much. However, I recognize the vital role a clean and organized space plays in my physical environment and mental well-being. So, I'm on a journey to cultivate a more positive attitude toward cleaning.
Let's step back and explore the roots of my aversion to tidying up, nestled in my childhood. I've always been highly creative and easily distracted. This combination meant I'd much rather chase after an exciting new project than put things in order.
My imagination ran wild, fueled by my favorite movie, Cinderella. The idea of escaping chores by meeting a prince seemed like the ultimate dream. This fairytale only further solidified my dislike for cleaning.
I believed I had the solution to the problem of an unmade bed: simply acquire the most beautiful sheets and pillows, and the bed would magically look perfect. But life teaches us a valuable lesson in accountability: no matter how stunning the linens, an unmade bed remains an eyesore.
