Sometimes, life has an uncanny way of showing us exactly what we need, precisely when we need it. This post is from several years ago, as I wrestled with my three children to get to church, feeling disheveled, alone, and overwhelmed, I never imagined that the day would end with an insightful realization. From the chaos of wrangling a screaming toddler to the surprising parallels between my struggle and the story of Elijah, I found myself on a journey from exhaustion to enlightenment. The story that unfolded reminded me of the importance of rest, faith, humility, and reaching out to others. It's a story of finding purpose in the midst of the pandemonium that is motherhood, of understanding that sometimes, the way out of our wilderness is through helping others. Today, I wanted recount this transformative Sunday, a day when I realized that even in the depths of motherhood's trials, purpose and grace can be found.
